The Ports® '28 Conference is offering three hotel options for your convenience:

The Renaissance Mobile Riverview Plaza Hotel, the Battle House Renaissance Hotel & Spa, and the Admiral Hotel.

Group rates for all hotels:
Single / Double: $189*

Government: At prevailing government rates (limited in quantity)

Rooms rates are only guaranteed until Monday, April 3, 2028, as space allows.

*All room rates are subject to applicable taxes and fees.

Please be advised that all rates quoted are per room, per night, based on occupancy.

Group rates will be subject to the prevailing state and occupancy room taxes, which is currently 14%, plus an additional fee of $1/night and subject to change without notice.

The American Society of Civil Engineers has no affiliation with these organizations and cannot vouch for their services in any way. There is NO official housing agent for Ports® '28 - you get the best deal by booking directly with the designated conference hotel.

The Mobile Regional Airport is 17.5 miles | 25-35 minutes from the Mobile Convention Center. This airport services Delta, American Airlines, United, KLM, British Airways, Lufthansa, Air Canada and Air France.

Mobile International Airport

The new Mobile International Airport (BFM) will be opening in November 2026.

Getting Around Downtown Mobile

Downtown Mobile is easily navigable with a mix of transportation options. You can walk, bike, use public transportation, or utilize ride-sharing services. Parking is also available throughout downtown. Downtown Mobile is very walkable and bike-friendly, with several pedestrian-friendly areas and bike lanes.

Sustainable Travel Options

Public Transportation:

  • The WAVE Transit System: This is Mobile's public transportation provider, operating several bus routes and a downtown shuttle service called moda! Fares can be purchased using a MyWAVE card, the MyWAVE Mobile app or by using cash.
  • MODA!: This circulator operates Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., making stops throughout the downtown area and the LoDA entertainment district. You can catch the moda! within a block of most downtown locations.

Ride Sharing Services:

  • Mobile City Rides: A golf cart ride share service offering rides for $5.
  • Uber and Lyft: These popular ride sharing services are also available in Mobile.
  • MoGo Rideshare: A newer, shared ride service operating in southeastern Mobile. It offers affordable rides ($1.25 or less, with potential free rides to certain employment centers) and can be booked via their app or by calling 251-312-4372. It operates 7 days a week, 6 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Taxis and Shuttles

At Mobile International Airport, you can find taxis and other transportation options, including ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft. The airport has a designated area for ride-sharing drop-offs and pick-ups located outside the main terminal, specifically in the southwest corner.

Rental Cars

Rental car agencies are plentiful in Mobile, either at the Mobile International Airport or satellite locations across the city. In general, rates will be higher at the airport.
